2011 Marine Corps Marathon, Washington, DC

Raymond and I are off to DC today to participate in our first marathon.  Susan and Daughter Vanessa are flying in Friday.  I'm sure we will have a great long weekend up there.  Race Day weather is predicted to be perfect.   Praying that holds!   I'll be posting along the way, and possibly will post some NEW Note Cards.    ETSY Shop is almost open.  I decided to wait til we return from this road trip/marathon/Blue Ridge Parkway driving to see a few colorful leaves before I officially open.     Have any of you made the trek to NC or VA or the NE to see leaves this fall?
Take care my friends!

Before and After! Perfect afternoon - So far 5" in rain and heavy winds from this tropical system.    P.S. We ended up with 8.5" of rain and up to 70mph winds.   Mini Hurricane, I guess.   LOL

We are in the middle of a "tropical system" and last night it sounded like a hurricane.  Heavy Winds and so far we've received 3.5" of rain.   But, I think it's great.   I have no errands that I HAVE TO venture out for and I can watch lots of College Football today and NFL tomorrow, while I finish up the Wedding Place Cards.    It's been a busy, fun week.   I got almost 3 dozen Note Cards off to shop in Matagorda, TX.

It's really hard to tell from this picture -- I must learn how to show the colors better, but this is a light greenish blue!   I'm naming it "Glacier Ice" on the Etsy Store (when it opens).

Hope you have a wonderful weekend.

WOW - Whirlwind weekend at home, but it was nice to be home.   Weather in NE and Central FL has brought true FALL weather - it is wonderful.    My bunion seems to be better at times and then not so much. :(     The surprise of the weekend was shifting through the mail and finding that ALL of my white on white cards embossed with 'pearlescent' paste sold at Cattails in Matagorda, TX http://www.karankawavillage.com
What exciting news!  So the first part of this week will be spent re-supplying them.
Hope you all have a great beginning to this glorious week.    See ya soon.

Almost forgot, I was reading a magazine while I was waiting for the oil to be change in the car and found a couple of fun websites to visit.   You might like them too:
